Belly dancing is for women of all shapes and sizes and ethnic backgrounds. It is also a great way to celebrate a woman's femininity and sensual side.
An exhilarating, low-impact, cardio workout which will increase your flexibility, tone and contour your body. You will learn the basic moves of belly dancing in a fun atmosphere, and practise them to a combination of Middle Eastern, meditative and contemporary music. We will focus on learning core and hip isolations as well as using arms, upper body and midriff. Stretch warm-ups designed to loosen and prepare the body for the necessary strength and flexibility will start every class.
These will be followed by maximum extensions, fluid undulations, shimmy styles and stamina building exercises required by this dance form. You will learn series moves that will result in a choreographed dance. After each lesson the cool down will leave you refreshed in body and soul.
