10 dances such as Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Merengue and more. Students can earn certificates through their achievement through a Medal System. The Medal System consists of Bronze, Silver & Gold. This is similar to earning different levels in Karate.
Classes run all year.

DRESS CODE:

Black Jazz shoes with heel, bike shorts, crop tops, two piece sports suit etc. are acceptable. No baggy shorts, over-size t-shirts, or street shoes are allowed in the studio. Hair must be tied up in a ponytail, braid or bun. Running shoes only for Hip Hop. No Running Shoes for Ballroom & Latin Dancing. Must be soft soled shoe or leather bottom – no rubber.

About Marie

Marie Zimmer was born in Minto, New Brunswick, Canada and started dancing when she was six. After moving to Hamilton, Ontario, she teamed up with one of the Best Toronto Based Dance Schools "Roland and Romaine School of Dance" danced Jazz, Ballet and Modeling and she joined the "Pig & Whistle Dancers" who performed on TV Network. She performed for local Theatres and did Fashion Shows. In 1976 she began teaching and training at Fred Astaire Studios and took 4 students to the Canadian Amateur Competitions and all 4 students won first place. Marie Zimmer competed in the Canadian Professional Latin Championships and in 1973 she placed first at the Canadian Professional Dance Competitions and achieved a top teacher and Top Studio awards recognized through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. In 1990 she began working as An Artist in the Classroom for the Hamilton-Wentworth School Board and has been teaching children and adults Social & International Ballroom & Latin Dancing, Folk, Jazz, Ballet, Line dancing, Hip-Hop and choreographs theatrical dances.
